Mike Rimmer is one of the most experienced Christian broadcasters in the UK. He presented his first radio show in 1982 and has presented shows for UCB, Premier and the BBC. He is best known for presenting Rimmerama, his evening show on Cross Rhythms, where he has spent more than a decade cultivating and encouraging new musical talent.

He’s been called “The Christian John Peel” for his openness to new music and willingness to give air time and interviews to new bands and artists. Through honest feature writing and album reviews, he has gained a reputation as a blunt, truthful commentator on the Christian music scene and artists value his opinion because of his honesty. “I only want to make things better” is how Mike sums up his influence, “whether that’s speaking out against labels or media who perpetuate blandness in Christian music, telling an artist that their album is rubbish in the hope they’ll do better next time or encouraging a new artist and letting them know they’ve got something, it’s all the same gaol.” As well as broadcasting, Mike also writes reviews and features for Cross Rhythms and other magazines.
